Parents and teachers have found that Special Educational Needs children react and learn in a totally different way if they are taken out of their routine school and home surroundings. Some of the benefits include: - Less disruptive behaviour - Improved confidence - Increased year group contribution and interaction - Personal focus and goals Focussed support where it's needed Before each project is agreed, Foundation staff and the teachers take considerable trouble to research the needs and aspirations of each child. In response to the current desperate need, the Foundation is currently focussing on the inner-city mainstream schools with the highest proportion of children with special needs.
